This type of training has NEVER been offered in the State of Georgia. Governor Nathan Deal has signed a proclamation proclaiming the month of March as Problem Gambling Awareness Month. Those attending will become the first responders to a group of clients that are not getting the specific help they need. In addition, those attending will be able to qualify for further training at a reduced rate. Some may even qualify for a free online course. Come and meet Mr. Eric Groh, executive Director of the Georgia Council as he shares his vision and goals for the Problem Gamblers needing help in Georgia. Also, come and hear Rev. Roger Olsen, Resource Development Coordinator for the Alabama Council on Compulsive Gambling as he conducts the training session. Rev. Olsen knows firsthand what gambling addiction can do as he himself has just celebrated 20 years of sobriety. Rev Olsen has trained over 40 Gambling Counselors in Alabama.
